Eddie Nketiah could remain at Arsenal should they convince him on one thing following contract offer

Eddie Nketiah celebrates scoring for Arsenal

Arsenal will reportedly offer striker Eddie Nketiah another new contract given his fresh role, but will have to convince him he will remain in it.

Nketiah has appeared sparingly for Arsenal during his time as a first-team player. The 22-year-old has made just 17 appearances in the Premier League in each of the last two seasons.

Two obstacles ahead of Nketiah contract

There are still a couple of reasons that Nketiah may reject the new contract offer. He may not be able to keep his fresh role, should Arsenal sign a new striker – as they appear keen on doing.

They have been linked with a move for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus. Should he join, he may well be ahead of Nketiah in the pecking order.

What’s more, Nketiah’s representatives have apparently been in touch with a number of clubs, who would like to take him on…
