2022 Summer Camp Registration Open

Artesia-Native Darius Bishop Joins Academy Roster

May 3, 2022 – United Soccer League Championship (USL) – New Mexico United News Release

New Mexico United and Smith’s Grocery are excited to announce their 2022 United Summer Camps will be offered beginning in late May, until August, with sign-ups available now. Camps will be run by United First Team coaches, players, and staff, and will provide an environment that will help participants elevate their understanding of the game. Camps are available at two age groups: U7 – U12, and U13 – U17, with each camp limited to just 100 field players and 20 goalkeepers.

“First team coaching staff and players are looking forward to meeting elite youth soccer players in and around our state of New Mexico this summer,” said Masaki Hemmi, First Assistant Coach for New Mexico United. “We will be demonstrating the fundamental approach of New Mexico United soccer, working with smaller groups and finishing with small-sided and big-sided scrimmages”

Each camp will last three days, and will include personalized and team-based instruction about on-and-off-the-field philosophies and practices, a United Summer camp shirt, a soccer ball, and an on-the-field pre-game experience at a New Mexico United match.

Players will be grouped based on their age, ability, and social circles, and the on-the-field teaching will encompass individual, small group, big group, and positional components of the game. Run by 1st Team Staff and Players, the goal is to educate all participants on the philosophies implemented at the highest level of the game, introduce players to United’s philosophies on and off the pitch, and nurture healthy habits that extend beyond sports.
