Manchester United are reportedly looking to discuss a £12million pay-off with Anthony Martial to help move him on in the summer.

The French forward is currently on loan at LaLiga side Sevilla and has been since January after opting to leave for regular minutes.

The 26-year-old has struggled with injuries since arriving in Spain and has made just eight appearances, even failing to score yet in the league.

He did find the net in the Europa League once in his three appearances but, despite his lack of form, a permanent move has not been ruled out, according to The Sun.  

Martial is still under contract until 2024 and is reportedly on wages of around £240,000-a-week at the Red Devils, which is beyond Sevilla and other interested clubs.

United have been paying 60 per cent of his wages during his stay in southern Spain and the remaining two years on his contract would cost them the thick end of £25m.

But the board will hope that the Frenchman will agree to take half of his remaining terms in order to get him off the books as they look to rebuild the squad under new manager Erik ten Hag.
