NYCFC will aim to string back-to-back wins together at Citi Field this weekend, following the 6-0 thrashing of RSL last time out.

It marks a first return to Queens since the visit of our north of the border rivals in the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs.

The less said about the denouement to that night the better – that is, aside from the incredible atmosphere conjured by our home supporters, which will be another important factor in this regular season matchup.

Taty and Thiago were in red hot form at Yankee Stadium on Easter Sunday and will be just two of the headline acts in contention to take to the field in Flushing for this one.

Building Momentum

It was a vital second win of the season for Ronny Deila’s charges, bringing an end to a run of frustrating encounters in domestic and continental competition.

A theme of the season so far has been occasional bouts of profligacy in front of goal – as well as sizable slices of bad luck – but all signs on Sunday pointed to that run being behind us.
