Liverpool have been hit by the news Bayern Munich have entered the race to sign strike ace Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg.

Adeyemi is in hot demand ahead of the summer transfer window. Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have been battling it out for his signature and it has just got more complicated. Bayern have joined the race and could be favourites to get a deal done.

Adeyemi would not be expected to fill the Poland international’s boots straight away. But they finally see his potential and are ready to match the asking price.

The striker is starting to flourish and has bagged 20 goals in all competitions this season. Salzburg manager Matthias Jaissle recently described him as the “perfect striker” and rival coaches are starting to agree.

Bayern’s interest will come as a blow to Jurgen Klopp. The Reds were said to be “quietly confident” of landing their man but Bayern could throw a spanner in the works.

Liverpool still in the hunt
