Leicester are among three sides who scouted Besiktas full-back Ridvan Yilmaz last weekend, and a report has revealed what it’ll take to get a deal done.

The Foxes have endured what can only be described as a miserable league campaign. After successive fifth-placed finishes, hopes were high of finally going one better and snatching fourth spot.

However, with just nine matches to go, Leicester currently lay in ninth position. They do have games in hand over each of the teams above them. Though the gap to Wolves in eighth is nine points.

As such, Leicester’s sole focus this season now appears to be winning the Europa Conference League. Doing so would secure qualification to the Europa League next season. The first leg of their quarter final clash with PSV Eindhoven finished 0-0.

And with their league campaign now taking a back seat, attention is beginning to turn to how they can once again be in the top four mix next year.

The summer window will provide an opportunity for Rodgers to revamp his squad and the latest report from Turkey has Leicester in the frame to sign Ridvan Yilmaz.

Via Sport Witness, it’s reported the 20-year-old Turkish left-back is quickly making a name for himself at Besiktas.

Yilmaz has been a near ever-present this season and has already shown his attacking capabilities. Yilmaz has three goals and four assists to his name from full-back this year. His rapid rise has seen him earn five caps for Turkey since making his debut in 2021.
