Chelsea star Timo Werner set for uncharted territory as agent meets three potential Serie A suitors

The representative of Timo Werner has held talks with three clubs in Serie A, according to a report that reveals how likely it is that Chelsea will sell the striker this summer.

Werner was backed for big things when he joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020. However, he has struggled to justify the money the Blues spent on him. Goals have been hard to come by for the Germany international.

For example, in his debut season, Werner only managed six Premier League goals. This time around, he remains stuck on one.

His form with Germany has been better, something the striker has made no secret of. If Chelsea are able to do transfer business in the summer, it may be in the best interests of all parties to split.

But where Werner may end up remains to be seen. A return to the Bundesliga is said to be his preferred option by the Daily Express, who name Borussia Dortmund as a potential suitor.

Yet the same report reveals Werner’s advisor Volker Struth has been holding talks with various Italian clubs in recent days. The representative has met with officials from Juventus, AC Milan and Atalanta.

Werner has never played in Serie A before, but could be ready for a new experience.
