Liverpool reach agreement in principle on three new signings with huge eye on the future

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on three new signings as they look to bring in some of the best young talent from around Britain.

The Reds are said to have reached agreements in principal to sign Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho, 19, Celtic winger Ben Doak, 16, and Derry City winger Trent Kone-Doherty, 15, this summer.

That is according to Football Insider, who report that the Reds are confident of making announcements in the coming months.

Cottagers star Carvalho almost moved to Anfield in January after undergoing a medical. However, the deal could not be done in time and ended up falling through.

The Reds have kept in contact though and are confident the deal will be done when Carvalho’s contract ends in June.

Any deal is, however, expected to be determined by an independent tribunal after no fee could be agreed.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will pay around £600,000 to bring in Doak from Celtic. Indeed, the player has already been pictured on Merseyside holding aloft the No.7 shirt.

The winger made his debut for the Hoops as a substitute against Dundee United at the end of January.

Just a few days after he was trusted to take part in his first-ever Old Firm clash against Rangers.
