Newcastle have reached the surprising decision to sell Allan Saint-Maximin and a report has added two clubs to the growing list of potential suitors.

Over the weekend, the Daily Mail produced a report claiming Newcastle will sell the mercurial winger this summer. They will accept bids worth £50million in order to fund ambitious signings.

Aston Villa are apparently keeping tabs on Saint-Maximin’s situation ahead of a possible move.

Any departure from St James’ Park has the potential to cause fan uproar. The Frenchman has captivated Newcastle supporters since joining from Nice in August 2019.

His trickery and pace make him an entertaining watch week in, week out. His presence is exactly what the Magpies needed during Steve Bruce’s stale spell in charge.

Many expected Saint-Maximin to form a vital part of the new project under Eddie Howe. But it seems that will not be the case.
