Manchester United have a big-money offer on the table to snap up Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, while Friday’s Paper Talk claims that Newcastle are offering Philippe Coutinho an incentive to join them over Aston Villa and Tottenham are chasing a highly-touted EFL defender.

Manchester United reportedly have a €71million (£59.8m) offer on the table to sign highly-touted Benfica striker Darwin Nunez.

The Portuguese giants are said to be willing to cash in on the exciting marksman, who is also being linked with Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham and Newcastle.

United are looking to replace Edinson Cavani this summer, while doubts have also emerged over the future of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood remains suspended.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to complete his two-year deal with the club in 2022-23. Indeed, Ralf Rangnick has already confirmed that the Red Devils want a new No.9 to partner Ronaldo next term.

And it would appear that Nunez could be that man.

The 22-year-old Uruguay international is regarded as one of the most exciting young talents in Europe.

Nunez has notched 26 goals from 33 appearances for Benfica this season and is known for his movement, speed and finishing ability.

The Daily Telegraph does, however, claim that Champions League football would be necessary to seal a deal for the attacker.
