Illini Soccer Adds Two to 2022 Signing Class

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini soccer head coach Janet Rayfield announced the additions of Regan Moody (Belleville, Illinois) and Jamie Pernecky (Pasadena, California) to the Illini roster for the 2022 season. Moody and Pernecky will join the Illini for the upcoming 2022 season.

The two additions bring Illinois’ 2022 signing class up to eight after Sarah Foley (Belleville, Illinois), Lia Howard (Massapequa, New York), Izzy Lee (Western Springs, Illinois), Ellen Persson (The Woodlands, Texas), Ashley Stellon (St. Charles, Illinois), and Abby Zugay (Ann Arbor, Michigan) were announced in November 2021.

Four-year letterwinner in soccer and two-year letterwinner in swimming at Althoff Catholic High School.
2021 IHSA State Champion, helping set a team record for most goals scored in a championship final (seven).
Set record for most goals scored by an individual in a championship final (four).
Scored 33 goals and 16 assists, tallying 82 points her junior year.
Second Team All-Conference in 2019.
Honorable Mention All-Conference in 2021.
2021 All-Metro Girls Second Team.
Intends to study Biology and Mathematics at Illinois.
Also a four-year high honor roll, student council, rotary club, and national honor society member.
2021 Illinois State Scholar.
Chose Illinois “to play in a competitive Division one soccer program. I was impressed with the coaching staff and my future teammates. Illinois also has outstanding academics that I believe will help me reach my future career potential.”
