BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana men’s soccer associate head coach Kevin Robson was named a Top Assistant Coach by College Soccer News this week.

One of 16 selections, Robson earned the award for the second straight year. Robson was elevated to associate head coach between those seasons, while holding onto the recruiting coordinator title, a position he has held since 2017. The Hoosiers have brought in top-10 signing classes in each of those seasons.

In 2021, his ninth season coaching in Bloomington, Robson led IU to its seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament Third Round appearance as one of two programs to boast such a streak. The Hoosiers finished 15-6-1 with a 5-3-0 record in the Big Ten.

The Hoosiers also earned the No. 15 national seed in the NCAA Tournament. Since Robson’s promotion to assistant coach following the 2013 campaign, IU is the only program to claim a national seed in each of the eight seasons since.

Robson was a four-year midfielder for Indiana from 2003-06, helping IU win back-to-back national titles in 2003 and 2004.
