WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Indiana women’s soccer team had good chances throughout the match, but couldn’t capitalize as they were defeated 2-0 against No. 18 Purdue on Sunday.

KEY MOMENTS

• In the 32nd minute the Hoosiers Megan Wampler put one in the back of the net, but was called offsides.

• In the 47th minute Paige Webber got free and put a shot on goal, but it was deflected off the Purdue goal keeper. The Hoosiers earned a corner on the play, but Purdue cleared it.

• In the 52nd minute Purdue had a great look at goal, but Anna Aehling came in to clear the ball away at the last second to prevent a Purdue goal.

• In the 73rd minute Purdue scored their first goal of the match on a counter attack. Purdue added a second goal in the 80th minute.

 

NOTABLES

• The Hoosiers drop to 9-5-4 on the season and 3-4-3 in the Big Ten.

• Indiana held a 14-13 advantage in shots for the match.

• Senior Caitlin Arbuckle made her second straight start and tallied five goals.

• Nine different players had shots for the Hoosiers, led by Alaina Kalin with three.
