Head Coach Trevor Gorman: “It was good to record another shutout on the road tonight.  We controlled the game, created chances, and probably deserved the three points, but that’s how it can be sometimes in our sport, and Binghamton are difficult in the way they play.  We have a busy period coming up and play a very good Army team on Tuesday night.”
 
How it Happened

  • The first half ended with the teams tied 0-0.  UAlbany’s best chance to score game late in the first half when Tiago Dias ripped a shot in the Binghamton box, deflected out of bounds for a corner kick by Bearcats’ goalkeeper Mats Roorda.
  • Both teams played the first half relatively evenly.  Binghamton held a narrow 6-5 advantage in shots taken, but both the Bearcats and Great Danes managed three shots on target.  Each team also drew three corner kicks, and both goalkeepers recorded three saves.
