The Syracuse-Miami Series:

The Orange own a 7-5-1 advantage in the all-time series with Miami, including a 4-1-1 record in games played in Syracuse. The pairings include the two programs owning residence in the BIG EAST Conference and now the ACC.

The Blue Devils scored in the final two minutes to secure that triumph. The Orange were defeated by #3 North Carolina, 1-0, in a tightly contested match on Sept. 22.

Freshman Shea Vanderbosch leads ACC goalkeepers in save percentage (.872) and third in saves per game (3.78). She has put together a 6-2-0 record and a goals against average of (0.63).

Miami Status:

After beginning the season with a 3-0-2 record, Miami has lost three straight, including two in a row to ACC foes. The Hurricanes lost at Louisville (1-0) on Sept. 17 and at Pitt (3-1) on Sept. 22.

Miami has five players with one goal each this season: Jackie Koerwitz, Laureen Meeks, Megan Morgan, Chloe O’Neill, and Mikayla Tupper.

Senior goalkeeper Melissa Dagenais leads the ACC in saves per game (5.25) and is tied for second in save percentage (.857).

Notable Notes:

  • Syracuse’s squad joined in on the Friday night football festivities. The Orange participated in an autograph signing on the Syracuse Quad during the pre-game and then joined in on a third-quarter t-shirt toss at the JMA Wireless Dome.
  • Graduate student Chelsea Domond is tied for second in the ACC in shots (40).
  • Captain and graduate student Jenna Tivnan celebrated her birthday on Saturday.
