Toronto, ON – The following are playoff clinch/elimination scenarios for Match Week 25 in the Canadian Premier League, to be played from Friday, Sept. 23 to Sunday, Sept 25:

Clinch Scenarios for Match Week 25

Atlético Ottawa will clinch* a CPL playoff berth with a win over Cavalry FC at ATCO Field on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Cavalry FC will clinch a CPL playoff berth with a win over Atlético Ottawa on Saturday, Sept. 24 at ATCO Field AND a Valour FC loss or tie against York United FC on Friday, Sept. 23 at York Lions Stadium.

Forge FC will clinch a CPL playoff berth with a win over FC Edmonton at Clarke Field on Sunday, Sept. 25 AND a Valour FC loss against York United FC on Friday, Sept. 23 at York Lions Stadium.

*Atlético Ottawa must fulfill its league-required 2,000 Under-21 minutes played by the end of the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 9 to be eligible for the post-season.

Elimination Scenarios for Match Week 25

HFX Wanderers will be eliminated from CPL playoff contention if Valour FC wins its match against York United FC on Friday, Sept. 23 at York Lions Stadium OR if the Wanderers lose or draw against Pacific on Sunday, Sept. 25 at Wanderers Grounds.

York United FC will be eliminated from CPL playoff contention if it loses or draws against Valour FC on Friday, Sept. 23 at York Lions Stadium or if Pacific FC wins its match against HFX Wanderers on Sunday, Sept. 25 at Wanderers Ground.

FC Edmonton was eliminated from playoff contention on Aug. 21.

The top four teams at the end of the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 9 will advance to the 2022 CPL playoffs. The first-place team will take on the fourth-place team and the second-place team will face the third-place team in a two-leg semifinal round. The higher seed hosts the second leg of the semifinal.

The final will be a one-match knockout game, hosted by the highest-seeded team remaining.
