BOSTON – For the second-straight week, University at Albany women’s soccer freshman Emily Jozak has been named America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. She was named alongside Offensive Player Meghan Guarente from New Hampshire and Defensive Player Kathryn McNeil from Bryant.
Jozak, a forward from Wayne, N.J., scored one goal in the Great Danes’ 4-1 victory over Wagner on Sunday, bringing her total to the season to four to lead the team and rank tied for third among all America East players. Jozak’s goal came unassisted in the 51st minute after she forced a turnover and broke through the Seawhawks’ defense.
UAlbany begins its America East schedule on Sunday at New Hampshire.
