August 5, 2022 – Major League Soccer (MLS) – Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL – CF Montréal (12-8-3) will be back in front of its fans this Saturday as the Club celebrates its Pride match against Inter Miami CF (8-10-5) at Stade Saputo. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (TVA Sports, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).
With a dramatic win over the Columbus Crew on Wednesday night in Ohio, Montreal returns home with 36 points, sole possession of third place in the Eastern Conference and a Club-record sixth road win in 2022.
Montreal is also undefeated in its last four games (3-0-1).
Joel Waterman’s game-winning strike on Wednesday night at Lower.com Field became the eighth goal by a Montreal defender this season, setting a new Club record.
Miami will be in town for the first time ever since its inaugural 2020 season. Previously, the Montrealers hosted the expansion side twice, but at Red Bull Arena.
Also active midweek, the Florida club ended a seven-game winless streak on the road with a 1-0 victory in San Jose. All nine of Miami’s MLS road wins have come by a single goal, with the last five ending 1-0.
