Wolves boss Bruno Lage has confirmed the club has rejected another bid for Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.

Newly-promoted Forest have been reported to have made a third offer worth up to £35million for Gibbs-White, but Lage insists the winger is key to his plans.

Lage said: ‘We rejected because he’s an important player for me, my dynamic and the future. He feels important, he is happy.

‘When you have this connection between manager and player, everything is good. He is fit and motivated.’

Gibbs-White is highly rated by Forest boss Steve Cooper after they worked together in England‘s U17 World Cup win.

Whether Forest make any more signings or not, it will still be a new look-side that travels to Newcastle on Saturday after the club has splurged £85m this summer.

Wolves, meanwhile, launch their Premier League campaign at Leeds on Saturday.
