July 3, 2022 – United Soccer League One (USL1) – Central Valley Fuego FC News Release
FRESNO, Calif. – During Armed Forces Night on July 2 at Fresno State Soccer Stadium, Central Valley Fuego FC hosted South Georgia Tormenta FC. In the first half, Fuego FC had multiple attempts on goal by Villyan Bijev, Victor Falck, Maxi Schenfeld, and Christian Chaney. Unfortunately, the home side was unlucky and unable to score. The visiting side had a couple of chances in the first half, one strike struck the crossbar and another was just off target.
The second half proved to be more difficult for Fuego FC as Tormenta’s Gabriel Cabral capitalized on a rebound following a free-kick. Newly signed, Jose Villarreal came on and nearly scored from a free-kick. The effort was there, but in the end, it was not enough.
