SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Notre Dame junior defender Leah Klenke earned 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Scholar All-American honors for her performance in the classroom, the organization announced today. She will add Scholar All-American honors alongside her already existing ACC All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District achievements.
Klenke, a business analytics major, was named to the third-team after accumulating a 3.76 GPA. She is one of just of 37 players to earn Scholar All-American honors this year.
On the pitch, Klenke was named First Team All-ACC this past season for the Irish. In September, she won a bronze medal with Team USA at the U20 World Cup.
After missing the early part of the season representing her country, Klenke started all 15 games she appeared in. She netted a goal and tacked on two assists while anchoring the back line for the Irish.
