COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland men’s soccer downed No. 8 Wisconsin, 3-0, on Friday at Ludwig Field. The Terps’ last win over a top-10 team was last season on Aug. 27, 2023, at home against No. 10 UNC Greensboro. The 3-0 win was also the biggest for the Terps over a top-10 team since beating No. 6 Indiana, 3-0, on Oct. 18, 2019.
Maryland (3-1-3) scored first off the foot of junior midfielder Chris Steinleitner in the 16th minute. It was his first career goal as a Terp after transferring during the offseason from Eastern Florida.
