Manchester City are reportedly considering a shock target to provide backup for Erling Haaland.
Haaland has started the new campaign in typically clinical fashion, scoring four goals across his first two Premier League games.
In total, Haaland boasts a hugely impressive record of 94 goals in 101 appearances for City.
However, City manager Pep Guardiola is eager to bring in another striker to provide backup for Haaland.
The need to sign another forward was intensified by Julian Alvarez’s departure to Atletico Madrid for £81million.

According to The Athletic, City have identified Orri Oskarsson as a potential backup for Haaland.
City appear unlikely to sign Oskarsson for now but rate him very highly.

The forward, who turns 20 this week, is an Iceland international with much potential. It is anticipated that he could cost just under £17million.

The prospect signed for Copenhagen from Grotta in 2022 and also had a loan spell at Sonderjyske.
