Shaw Wins PFA Women’s Player of The Year

LVFL and current Manchester City forward Bunny Shaw has won the PFA Player of the Year award, the organization announced Tuesday night.

Shaw posted an incredible 2023-24 WSL campaign and ended the season as the league’s top scorer with 21 goals—including three hat tricks and three assists in just 18 appearances.

In March, she became Manchester City’s all-time leading scorer with her 67th goal, and now boasts 82 career goals.

Shaw was tabbed FWA Women’s Footballer of the Year, WSL Player of the Year and earned the Golden Boot award in May, representing an impressive award haul following her stellar season.

In her time at Tennessee, Shaw was named the 2018 SEC Offensive Player of the Year and earned second-team All-America honors during her senior season. The Jamaican also left her mark on the Tennessee record book, sitting in the top three in points and goals in a single season along with the school record for game-winning goals in a campaign.
