2024 Promotional Schedule Set for Illini Soccer


2024 Illinois Soccer Schedule

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Illinois athletics has announced the promotional schedule for the 2024 Fighting Illini soccer season, with the Illini kicking off the home slate on Thursday against Wright State at 7 p.m. CT at Demirjian Park.

Admission is free to all home Illinois soccer matches, with spectator parking available in the Atkins Tennis Center parking lot and the grass lots just east of the soccer practice field.

2024 ILLINI SOCCER PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

Thursday, Aug. 15 vs. Wright State | 7 p.m. CT

Home Opener – Illinois soccer opens its 28th season with its season and home opener.

Sunday, Aug. 18 vs. DePaul | 1 p.m. CT

Senior Celebration – Illinois will honor seniors in a pregame ceremony for their hard work and dedication to Illini soccer.

Thursday, Aug. 22 vs. Missouri | 7 p.m. CT

Kick Stigma – Students across the country are feeling increased levels of stress, anxiety, and depression.  This game is designed to increase awareness of on campus groups as well as raise money for mental health resources to help expand programs that make a difference.

Sunday, Aug. 25 vs. Illinois State | 5 p.m. CT

Back to School – Featuring pre-match inflatables and food trucks on the practice field.

Postmatch Autographs – Following the match, players will be signing autographs.

Saturday, Aug. 31 vs. Kentucky | 2 p.m. CT

Youth Sports Day – Post-match kid’s clinic.

Graduate Student Night – Featuring a pre-match tailgate and dedicated seating for graduate students.

Thursday, Sept. 12 vs. Minnesota | 7 p.m. CT

B1G Opener – Illinois soccer begins Big Ten play at Demirjian Park.

MVP Most Valuable Professor – Illini Soccer student-athletes will honor their MVP (Most Valuable Professor) in a halftime ceremony.

Sunday, Sept. 22 vs. Iowa | 1 p.m. CT

Women’s Empowerment – Our female athletes are women that value their gifts, know their strengths and embrace their ability to impact the world in a positive way. We aim to inspire future female generations in and outside the world of athletics because the world is a better place when women are empowered.

100 Girls vs. Illini Soccer – One hundred girls take on Illini soccer in a scrimmage following the match. Open to all girls 8th grade and under.
