Five Gator Soccer Grads this Weekend

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gator soccer sees five – Alexa Goldberg, Tori Grambo, Madeline Pirrello, Maddy Rhodes and Delaney Tauzel  – receive degrees this weekend at University of Florida commencement ceremonies held in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

About the Gators:
Two will wear the SEC Graduate patch on their Gator uniforms this fall as both Goldberg and Tauzel play a fifth season. Goldberg started all but one match of the last three seasons. She set her career season high with eight shutouts in 2023. Tauzel started every match of the last two season and led UF in goals, assists and points in 2022. Both are College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees in addition to earning Academic All-SEC accolades throughout their collegiate careers.
 
Injuries limited Goldberg’s contributions but she did set her collegiate season highs for games played (17) and starts (10) in 2023. Both of her goals came as a freshman. Pirrello saw her minutes expand over her three UF seasons, starting 10 of her 17 appearances in 2023. She set her collegiate season high for goals (2), assists (2) and points (6) last season. Rhodes set her collegiate highs for goals (3) and points (8) as a freshman in the Covid extended 2020-21 season. All earned Academic All-SEC honors during their Gator careers.
 
The soccer players are among more than 30 Florida student-athletes who completed their degrees this summer.
