La Liga star forced to train alone amid rumours of interest from Aston Villa

Aston Villa have been the busiest Premier League team in the summer transfer window.

The Midlands club have made eight new signings and they have no intention to stop any time soon.

After qualifying for the Champions League by finishing in the top four of the Premier League, they are ready to add quality and depth to their squad in order to cope with the increased number of matches next season.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has strengthened his attack, midfield and defense this summer.

He is keen to add another attacking player to partner with the likes of Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey.

The player who is being heavily linked to join the Premier League club is Atletico Madrid’s Portuguese forward Joao Felix.

According to an update provided by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the La Liga giants have forced Felix to train alone.

If Emery can pull off this signing, it would be a statement move from the Spanish manager.

Felix has not had a successful time on his loan spells away from the club to Chelsea or Barcelona but there is no question about his quality.

Atletico are desperate to sell Felix and manager Diego Simeone has no plans to keep the player.

A move to Villa could happen if the finances can make sense for the Premier League club.
