As reported by Globo, Chelsea are interested in signing Andreas Pereira and have made contact with the midfielder’s agent Kia Joorabchian.

Pereira is said to have a verbal agreement with Fulham which would enable him to depart should an acceptable offer be made.

Although there is interest from Monaco, Pereira would prefer to stay in London and join Chelsea.

Pereira could potentially replace Conor Gallagher, who has been targeted by Aston Villa and Tottenham ahead of a possible £50million move.

Gallagher’s future at Chelsea is uncertain especially given that he is into the final year of his contract at the club.

Pereira, who featured for Brazil at the Copa America, signed for Fulham from Manchester United in 2022 for £10million plus add-ons. He has made 82 appearances for the Cottagers and has scored eight goals as well as providing 15 assists.

He previously played 75 times for United and also had loan spells at Granada, Valencia, Lazio and Flamengo.
