West Ham have made further enquiries for Villarreal striker Alexander Sorloth but the Spanish side are holding out for £32million.

That is the value of the buy-out clause in his current contract.

The 28-year-old former Crystal Palace forward had a standout campaign with Villarreal last season, scoring 26 goals in 41 games.

West Ham have discussed an offer worth £25m but Villarreal are demanding more.

The Norway international also has interest from Roma.

Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion, Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin are other forwards they have been discussing.
