Real Madrid and England star leaked as EA Sports FC 25 cover star

Real Madrid and England international Jude Bellingham has been named the cover star of EA Sports FC 25, according to reputable leaker FutSheriff.

EA Sports FC is the most popular soccer/football video game franchise in the world. After its partnership with global body FIFA came to an end, EA Sports rebranded the franchise to FC with last year’s release. Erling Haaland was the first player to grace a cover in the new era, and it seems Bellingham is next up.

Bellingham had a standout season for Real Madrid winning LaLiga and the Champions League in his first year. As well, he’s competing alongside England in the UEFA Euro 2024 final this Sunday.

While EA Sports has yet to announce or confirm anything related to this year’s entry, FutSheriff has been a go-to source for the Ultimate Team community over the past few years.

If and/or when the cover star does get announced, EA Sports will likely have multiple editions of the game. In that case, like last year and years prior, there could be multiple variations. For example, FC 24’s standard edition featured Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. The Ultimate Edition of last year’s game featured numerous stars from around the world.

If England are victorious in the Euros, EA Sports could do a special cover featuring Bellingham in both Real Madrid and England shirts lifting major honors. Or, EA Sports could pair the midfielder with a star from the women’s game like the company did two years ago with Kylian Mbappe and Sam Kerr.

EA Sports has yet to announce FC 25’s release date, though most expect it to release sometime this September based on previous trends.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, expect EA Sports FC 25 to be on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. That would include last-generation platforms such as Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and more. But, most sports video games released on older consoles have dual-entitlement options meaning players will be able to upgrade to the current-gen version without any additional cost if they do so during the game’s lifespan.
