Last week, Republic FC and UC Davis Health announced a record-setting partnership, building on 10 years of a shared commitment of regional health and wellness. The extended partnership includes a new youth wellness program called Strive for 45, designed to promote health eating and exercise habits for kids.
The mission behind Strive for 45 will be highlighted at each Republic FC home game during the 2024 season as fans aged 5-14 are welcomed on the pitch for a halftime fitness activity. During the Strive for 45 Run, participants will have a moment to stretch their legs and sprint endline to endline, and remind fans of all ages about the importance of staying active.
This Saturday, Republic FC and UC Davis Health will celebrate Wellness Night as the club takes on Memphis 901 FC at Heart Health Park. In addition to all the action on the field, the partners will team up to highlight and thank the region’s healthcare heroes, including over 400 doctors from UC Davis Health who will be in attendance to celebrate National Doctors’ Day.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and tickets for the match – as well as a special pre-game Yoga on the Pitch workout – are available at SacRepublicFC.com/Tickets.
