England head towards Euro 2024 as one of the strongest nations around the continent.

While true tournament success remains elusive, Gareth Southgate now has a squad bursting at its seams with incredible talent. Stars like Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka are primed to lead the nation at this summer’s upcoming Euros, but a number of young players and outsiders are still hoping to be included this summer.

Competition for places may work against the 30-year-old, but there’s no doubt he deserves another look from Southgate, having picked up the last of his 33 national team caps in 2019.

How many strikers will Southgate take to Euro 2024?

That decision may end up playing against Dominic Solanke, but the Bournemouth striker has done his chances of inclusion no harm at all with his best scoring season in the Premier League.

Harry Kane and Ollie Watkins are nailed on to make Southgate’s squad, but Solanke may need to outscore rival Ivan Toney to book a ticket on the plane. That said, he’s doing everything he can right now.

Jarrod Bowen
