Clemson, S.C. – Five Tigers have earned All-Atlantic Region honors, it was announced today by the United Soccer Coaches association. Seniors Halle Mackiewicz and Makenna Morris, as well as graduate Hal Hershfelt were named to the All-Atlantic First Team, while graduates Harper White and Caroline Conti were named to the All-Atlantic Third Team.
All-Atlantic First Team
Mackiewicz picked up her first-career All-Region honor in 2023. The Broomfield, Colo., native has recorded a school-record 13 shutouts this season, was named First Team All-ACC and was selected as the ACC Goalkeeper of the Year.
Morris’s selection marks her third All-Region honor of her career, following a second-team selection in 2020 and a third-team selection in 2021. The Germantown, Md., product has appeared in all 25 matches this season, leads the team in goals (10) and was named First Team All-ACC earlier this season.
Hershfelt has now picked up the fourth All-Region honor of her career, earning third team in 2019, second team in 2021 and 2022. The team captain picked up her fifth-consecutive All-Conference honor earlier this season and has played in 23 matches this season with four assists and one goal.
All-Atlantic Third Team
White picked up her first All-Region honor in 2023. The graduate student from Nashville, Tenn., has anchored the Tigers’ back line all season, aiding in 13 shutouts on the year and helping allow just 17 goals on the season. White was named third team All-ACC earlier this season.
Conti also picked up her first All-Region honor in 2023. The local Greenville, S.C., product is second on the team in goals (8) and has netted four game-winners on the year. Earlier this season, Conti was named third team All-ACC for the second time in her career.
All-Region and All-America teams are selected through voting by member coaches in their respective divisions.
