Man United, Liverpool and Newcastle ‘all send scouts to watch Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo in action against Rennes as they line up a summer move’… but Ligue 1 club want £39m for the former Barcelona defender
Premier League giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United have all sent scouts to watch Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, according to reports.
The French defender has been in impressive form this season in Ligue 1, making 30 appearances in the competition.
At just 23, Todibo is one of the brightest young prospects for central defence and has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, scouts from Newcastle, Manchester United and Liverpool were in attendance for Nice’s clash against Rennes to ‘monitor’ Todibo.
The central defender has a price tag understood to be in the region of £39million, and could get a ‘top club move this summer’.

Man United, Newcastle and Liverpool have sent scouts to watch the defender already
With Man United facing a defensive crisis as Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez remain on the sidelines, they could look to bring in Todibo this summer.
Harry Maguire’s future appears to remain in doubt due to a lack of game time this season at Old Trafford, with Luke Shaw being preferred in central defence.
Todibo could potentially follow Nice’s ownership to Man United if Sir Jim Ratcliffe is successful in purchasing the English giants.
Newcastle could look to challenge the Red Devils, however, and after signing Sven Botman from Ligue 1 last season, they could return to the French market.
The 23-year-old would align with the transfer strategy at St James’ Park as Newcastle prepare for Champions League football next season.
A finish out of the top four could prove to be a stumbling block for Liverpool, while it is unclear as to whether Todibo would displace either Virgil van Dijk or Ibrahima Konate next season.
It remains to be seen as to whether Todibo would move to the Premier League, but interest in the defender remains high this summer.
