April 12, 2023 – National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) – Racing Louisville FC News Release
Racing Louisville FC has entered into a landmark first local broadcast agreement with WAVE for the 2023 season, the club and station announced Wednesday.
The partnership will see seven Racing games air on WAVE network Circle as part of a wide-ranging partnership between the NWSL team and Louisville’s NBC affiliate.
WAVE will also promote Racing across its family of station while creating exclusive team content, such as player interviews and meteorologist Tawana Andrew’s game day weather reports.
“It was easy to say yes to a partnership with Racing Louisville FC,” said John O’Brien, vice president and general manager of WAVE. “Our team at WAVE is excited to broadcast seven games on Circle TV and bring the stories of players and coaches to our community.”
Fans can watch Circle over the air on WAVE 3.3, Spectrum cable channel 193 and Dish Network’s 370.
“We are thrilled to have Racing games available on local TV for the first time,” said Pat Denbow, Racing’s vice president of partnerships. “We are still in growth mode, and this is a major step forward in creating awareness through access. It’s great for our current fans and for finding our next fan.”
