The proposed first transfer of the Erik ten Hag era could be hijacked by Juventus after a report suggested Man Utd target Antony could be heading to Turin.
Ten Hag will take the reins at Old Trafford this summer after his appointment was officially confirmed last week. The Dutchman will inherit a broken squad who have stumbled from one disaster to another this season.
The Athletic recently shed light on the troubles brewing in United’s dressing room. The players have reportedly begun to accuse each other of one thing behind the scenes, while the man-management of interim boss Ralf Rangnick has come under fire.
Rangnick will take a consultancy role over the next two years despite landing the Austria job on Friday. The German will have a say on the club’s direction and recruitment, though how big his influence will be remains to be seen.
Regarding recruitment, Man Utd are expected to oversee mass player turnover this summer.
The forward ranks could see the biggest change with the majority of their current options facing uncertain futures.
Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani and Jesse Lingard will all be free agents on June 30. Mason Greenwood remains unavailable indefinitely, while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial have both been linked with permanent moves away.

The 22-year-old winger has been tipped to follow Ten Hag to Manchester. The Brazilian has 12 goals and 10 assists to his name this year. He is also a regular in his national side.
The Sun previously reported Ajax would not stand in his way if a suitable offer of around £50m were lodged.
However, interest from Juventus could complicate matters and Italian outlet Calciomercato now report the Serie A giant are ready to ramp up their pursuit.
