Little known fact: Harry Kane likes to score goals.
He’s scored a few of them in his career. Some for Tottenham, some for England, some in much-forgotten loan spells.
But how many times has he scored in the Premier League? How many of those were from open play? How many goals does he need to become the competition’s all-time leading scorer? We have all the answers you need…
Kane has scored now scored 200 Premier League goals, becoming only the third player to reach that milestone after Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney.
His first strike came against Sunderland in a 5-1 win in April 2014 on his first league start for the club, and his most recent was in a 1-0 win against Manchester City.
All 200 goals have come for Tottenham having failed to find the net in three games on loan at Norwich at the start of the 2012/13 campaign.

Of Kane’s 200 Premier League goals, 30 of them have come from the penalty spot, working out to 15% of his strikes.

With 200 goals already to his name, Kane has caused a headache for a fair few teams down the years.
The team to have suffered most from his antics are Leicester, who Kane has scored against 18 times in 15 games.
Arsenal and Everton have both conceded 14 times to the England captain, with West Ham and Southampton shortly following with 11 goals.
After netting against Brentford in December 2022, Kane has now scored against every Premier League side he has faced.
Harry Kane’s complete Premier League scoring record against each team:
Alan Shearer holds the record for most Premier League goals of all time. He found the net on 260 occasions, 60 clear of Kane’s 200.
If Kane were to play in the Premier League for every season until he’s 35 – he’ll be 30 heading into the 2023/24 campaign – then he’ll have to score at a rate of 12 goals a season to take the crown away from Newcastle hero Shearer. However, with plenty of the 2022/23 term still remaining, he has time to chip away at that average as well.
With eight to his name, only three players have scored more Premier League hat-tricks than Harry Kane.
He is also one of five players to grab a hat-trick in consecutive games, and he is the only one to have done so on two separate occasions.
Rather surprisingly, his last treble came all the way back on Boxing Day 2017 – the same day he broke the Premier League record for most goals in a calendar year.
