Newcastle United are looking to whittle down their list of targets and Man Utd midfielder Scott McTominay is reportedly one player they are interested in.
The Magpies are enjoying a brilliant season under Eddie Howe as they currently find themselves in the Champions League places.
They were in a relegation battle when he took over last term but he eventually guided them to a mid-table finish in the Premier League.
Newcastle have acted expertly in the transfer market over the past two windows as they have used their newfound wealth wisely.
Alexander Isak and Sven Botman were among their additions in the summer and they are ahead of schedule as they currently sit third in the table.

The report adds that Wolves star Ruben Neves has ‘also been discussed’ but their rivals ‘have no intention to sell’ and a potential deal for the Portugal international would be ‘beyond their budget’.
Bruno Guimaraes has been one of Newcastle’s star performers this term but he was forced off during their 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday. Howe stated post-match that the Brazilian was “worried about his ankle”.
