Liverpool are reportedly in ‘pole position’ to sign Hirving Lozano from Napoli with it looking like he could leave before his contract expires in 2024.
The Premier League side have already been linked with one Napoli player on Boxing Day, with Jurgen Klopp reportedly an admirer of Eljif Elmas.
Liverpool could do worse than target Napoli players as they have been superb this season. They are top of Serie A and they are emerging as a dark horse to win the Champions League.
If reports are to be believed they could lose Lozano in January, though.
Man Utd were linked with Lozano in the summer. Fabrizio Romano revealed back in October that he was “offered” to the Premier League side.
“Hirving Lozano has been linked with Manchester United recently, but it’s important to clarify that it is the player’s former agent who has given quotes to the press about a potential move to Old Trafford,” Romano wrote for Caught Offside.

He was involved in five goals in seven Serie A games to move onto seven goal involvements for Napoli in 19 outings.
Man Utd have not been mentioned as a potential destination as much over the past month or so as they are instead focused on signing Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven in January.

This is all that is said about Liverpool and the outlet does not have the best track record when it comes to reliability, so perhaps take this with a pinch of salt.
Liverpool may not sign Lozano in January but Klopp certainly wants them to bring someone in.
They signed Luis Diaz last January and Klopp has hinted that they would like to do something “very positive” like that next month as well.
“Last season we had Luis Diaz come in, which was very helpful for that part of the season, everybody would see that the same way,” Klopp said.
“But doing something again that is very positive – why not?”
Earlier this week when asked about Liverpool potentially bringing…
