Brighton held talks on Thursday over whether striker Evan Ferguson can leave on loan this window.
The 20-year old has returned to full training after recovering from an ankle injury and could become one of the most coveted players of the January window as Brighton field enquiries from would-be suitors.
Tottenham, who are without Dominic Solanke for six weeks, Everton, Bournemouth and Fulham have all asked to be kept informed of developments over the Republic of Ireland international who was valued at £75million when he emerged on the Premier League scene in 2022-23.
However, he has not been pivotal to Fabian Hurzeler’s plans and has found himself on the periphery of the first team making just 14 appearances in all competitions this season and predominantly from the bench.
He is eager to get more regular game time and Brighton will consider loaning him out if they believe they have enough cover with Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Georginio Rutter their go-to forwards.
West Ham and Arsenal are also among Ferguson’s admirers.
