Liverpool keen on signing Joao Gomes

Liverpool are keen on signing the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes.

The 23-year-old has done quite well since he moved to the Premier League and his performances have attracted the attention of the Merseyside giants. He was on the radar of Manchester United a few months ago.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool view him as the “perfect signing” as they look to improve their midfield options. The Reds were initially keen on signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, but the player is set to join Arsenal at the end of the season.

Gomes has proven himself to be a reliable performer in the Premier League, and he could be a key player for Liverpool in the coming seasons. He has the physicality and technical attributes to succeed at the highest level. 

The Brazilian midfielder has the tools to develop into a complete midfielder. He will add creativity, composure, and defensive cover to the side. The opportunity to play for a big club like Liverpool will be quite exciting for him. It would be a major step up in his career and he will certainly fancy the possibility of joining the Reds.

Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they are currently fighting for the league title. The opportunity to join them can be hard to turn down for most players. The 23-year-old will certainly hope that the two clubs can work out an agreement in the coming months.

The midfield is an area that needs improvement and Liverpool must look to bring in the right additions. Apart from that, they should bring in a quality left-back and a prolific goal-scorer as well.

It will be interesting to see if they can go all the way in the title race this season. They have done well in the UEFA Champions League as well, and they are currently on top of the standings.
