Kirt Announces Trio of Transfer Signees


KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee soccer head coach Joe Kirt has announced the addition of three transfer signees ahead of the 2025 campaign. 

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Kylee (Simmons), Shae (O’Rourke) and Anaiyah (Robinson) to Rocky Top this spring,” said Kirt. “Each are proven goal-scorers and All-Conference recipients in our league who will bolster a talented group of returners. 

“Individually, they bring their own attacking personality on the ball and in the box, creating quality scoring opportunities for both themselves and their teammates. Each will have a significant role in our program as we expect to bring another SEC Championship back to Knoxville!”

Kylee Simmons | F | West Chester, Ohio

Simmons joins the Lady Vols after three seasons at Missouri where she was a key contributor. The West Chester, Ohio, native boasts 16 career goals and eight assists while also posting 56 shots on frame. Last season, Simmons started nine matches on 11 appearances and recorded three goals and four assists. In 2023, Simmons started all 17 matches and led the SEC in goal-scoring, finding the back of the net 11 times during her sophomore campaign, which earned her First Team All-SEC honors. As a freshman in 2022, Simmons started eight of the 17 matches she appeared in and totaled a pair of goals and assists on the season. Prior to her time in Columbia, Missouri, Simmons was a three-time TopDrawerSoccer.com Soccer Standout and won a pair of Ohio State Cup Championships with Cincinnati United. 

Shae O’Rourke | F | Wheatfield, New York

O’Rourke enters her redshirt junior season on Rocky Top with prior stops at Texas A&M and South Carolina. Last season, the Wheatfield, New York, native was part of the Aggies squad but was sidelined due to injury. Prior to her time in College Station, O’Rourke spent two seasons at South Carolina where she had standout seasons. As a sophomore in 2023, she started in all 21 games for South Carolina while tallying five goals and three assists. She also tied for second on the team with 13 points and 26 shots on goal. In 2022, O’Rourke had a stellar rookie year that earned her SEC All-Freshman honors, playing in all 24 games while scoring six goals and dishing out three assists. In addition to her collegiate endeavors, O’Rourke was called up to the U.S. Soccer U20 Women’s National Team training trip in April.
