KANSAS CITY – On the heels of a dominant 2024 campaign, junior defender Casper Svendby has been named a semifinalist for the 2024 MAC Hermann Trophy, as announced by United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Wednesday evening.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer and has been awarded annually since 1967.
Svendby, a native of Drammen, Norway, was named the 2024 ACC Defensive Player of the Year after a standout junior campaign in which he helped anchor Pitt’s back line to a .90 GAA – the best mark in program history. Offensively, Svendby logged three goals and four assists for 10 total points en route to garnering First Team All-ACC honors.
