CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Six Atlantic Coast Conference teams remain in the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship, the most among all conferences. The postseason continues Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30, with all four matches featured on ESPN+.
Within the four quarterfinal matchups, two matches will feature two ACC teams. On Friday, third-seeded Stanford will play host to fourth-seeded Notre Dame at 5 p.m. ET, while on Saturday, November 30, seventh-seeded Virginia Tech heads to top-seeded Duke for a 6 p.m. ET kickoff. In the other quarterfinal matchups on Friday, second-seeded Wake Forest travels to top-seeded Southern California at 5 p.m. ET and second-seeded North Carolina welcomes fourth-seeded Penn State at 6 p.m. ET.
The ACC is guaranteed two teams in this year’s Women’s College Cup, marking the third straight season the ACC will send at least two teams to the national semifinals. Since 2019, nine ACC teams have advanced to the Women’s College Cup, the most among all conferences with the next closest conference sending just five.
The 43rd annual NCAA Women’s College Cup will be played December 6 and 9 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, with North Carolina and the city of Cary serving as hosts. The first national semifinal will be played and broadcast live on ESPNU at 5 p.m. ET on Friday, December 6, followed by the second semifinal beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m. ET live on ESPNU. The national championship match will take place at 5 p.m. ET on Monday, December 9, and will also be broadcast live on ESPNU.
