TUCSON, Ariz. – Six members of the Arizona soccer team have been named Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Sami Baytosh, Maia Brown, Ella Hatteberg, Gianna Christiansen, Nicole Dallin, and Olivia Ramey each garnered the honor. Dallin was selected as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 11, 2024.
Baytosh holds a 4.0 GPA in Nutritional Sciences as a junior. She made appearances in 17 of Arizona’s matches in 2024 and started 14 of them. She scored two goals this season including the game-winning goal against BYU. Baytosh earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2023.
Brown is a junior pursuing a degree in Public Health with a 4.0 GPA. She played in 18 matches this season and started in 16 of them. She scored her first career goal against Kansas State and was a leader in Arizona’s dominant back line.
Christiansen maintains a 3.609 GPA and is pursuing a degree in Business Management. As a captain this season, she started in all 19 of Arizona’s matches and led the team with eight goals and four game-winning goals. She recorded a pair of braces this season and led Arizona with 21 points to earn second team All-Big 12 honors. She earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2022.
Dallin is pursuing a master’s degree in Legal Studies with a 4.0 GPA. She started all 19 matches and led Arizona with eight goals scored and with 21 points to earn All-Big 12 second-team honors. Dallin finished her career with 23 goals scored which ranks sixth in program history. This is the third time Dallin has earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
Hatteberg is majoring in Public Health and has a 4.0 GPA as a junior. She appeared in all 19 of Arizona’s matches, starting in 14 of them, and tallied one assist this season. This is Hatteberg’s second CSC Academic All-District honor.
Ramey holds a 4.0 GPA in Psychology and was Arizona’s starting goalkeeper in 18 matches. She recorded 58 saves and helped Arizona keep a clean sheet in eight matches. Ramey’s 0.94 goals against average this season ranked fifth in program history.
