CARY, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson and Wake Forest advanced to the title game of the 2024 ACC Men’s Soccer Championship on Thursday evening following semifinal victories in rainy conditions at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.

 

The No. 5 seed Demon Deacons rolled to a 5-1 win over No. 9 seed Virginia, while No. 2 seed Clemson ended No. 11 seed California’s first ACC Tournament run with a 3-2 triumph in a back-and-forth battle.

 

Wake Forest advanced to title game for the first time since 2017 when it won its second of back-to-back ACC championships. The reigning tournament champion, Clemson advanced to its third straight ACC championship game and its fifth in the last six seasons. The Tigers are aiming to become the first back-to-back ACC champion since Wake Forest in 2016 and 2017. Wake and Clemson met on Sept. 20, with the Tigers claiming a 1-0 win in Clemson, South Carolina.

 

The championship match will be broadcast on ESPNU on Sunday at noon ET. The winner of the ACC Championship earns the league’s automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The selection show for the field of 48 will be broadcast at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, November 18, on NCAA.com. The tournament kicks off on Thursday, November 21.

 

Tickets are on sale now for the ACC championship match at WakeMed Soccer Park and can be purchased HERE. Championship game tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on gameday. ACC students are admitted for free with a valid school ID.
