Husky Trio Earns All-Conference Recognition

SEATTLEPeter Kingston, Caden Buckley and Zach Ramsey have garnered All-Big Ten honors, as the conference office announced its year-end awards today.

Kingston and Buckley were named to the second team while Ramsey gets the nod on the All-Freshman team.

In his second season on Montlake, Kingston has set new career highs in single season goals (5), assists (4), points (14) and shots (28). His five goals are tied for 10th most in the conference and 14 points puts him at seventh. Earlier this season, Kingston recorded a pair of goals in the Huskies’ 3-1 win over Penn State to begin a five-match unbeaten streak. Twice this season, the senior notched a pair of assists.

Buckley, a senior from Las Vegas, has anchored the Washington backline holding opponents to under 10 shots a game. He has also added three assists, all coming in conference action. Buckley is one of four Huskies to start in all 18 matches.

In 14 matches, Ramsey has tallied a pair of goals to earn his first career all-conference recognition. His first career point came against No. 9 Denver via an assist. His first career goal came a match later, a game-winner at Air Force. Ramsey’s second goal was also a match-winner at No. 25 UCLA to help the Huskies secure the 4-seed in the Big Ten Tournament.

Additionally, redshirt junior Chris Peretti was named to the Sportsmanship Team, recognizing a player distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
