  • Coming off an impressive win at seventh-ranked Stanford to open the West Coast trip Thursday, the top-ranked Duke women’s soccer team (10-1-0, 5-0-0 ACC) will close the road swing Sunday, Oct. 13 at No. 17 California (10-2-2, 3-1-1) at 4 p.m. (ET).
  • Sunday’s match will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with Dr. Ty-Ron Douglas (PXP) and Mia Fontana (Analyst) on the call.
  • Duke is riding a 10-match winning streak heading into Sunday’s contest.
  • The Blue Devils have totaled a school record by scoring three or more goals in seven straight matches. 
  • Duke has scored a goal in the first half in 10 straight matches, which is the second-longest streak in Blue Devil history (14).
  • On the season, Duke has scored 36 goals by 12 different players.
  • Robbie Church announced on July 22, 2024 he will be retiring at the end of the season and Duke will be promoting associate head coach Kieran Hall to head coach in 2025.  Current assistant coach Carla Overbeck will move to associate head coach in 2025 as well. 

 
STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES

  • For the second time in program lore, Duke has opened ACC play with a 5-0 record (2024, 2017). 
  • The Blue Devils (5-0) and Tar Heels (6-0) are the only undefeated ACC teams remaining in league play.
  • Maggie Graham owns eight goals over her last nine matches, while adding five assists.  She owns a career-high 21 points on the season.  Graham has scored or assisted in eight out of the last nine contests.
  • The 28 goals over the last seven matches for Duke are the most over a seven-game stretch in program history. 
  • On Tuesday, Duke moved to No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll for the first time in Blue Devil history.
  • Duke holds a +143 advantage in shots and +31 in goals on the season.
  • Duke leads the ACC with a 2.82 goal margin (scored 36 and allowed 5).
