NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt soccer travels to College Station, Texas on Thursday night for a 7 p.m. matchup against Texas A&M. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and will be shown on SEC Network+.

Vanderbilt (5-2-5, 0-2-3) looks to earn its first conference win of the season after coming off a 1-1 draw against ranked South Carolina on Friday night. Sydney Watts scored the lone goal for the Dores from a pass by Rachel Deresky but a goal by the Gamecocks in the 90th minute resulted in the Commodores’ third draw of conference play, the fifth of the year.

Texas A&M (8-5, 3-2) is coming off a 4-1 win over Ole Mis Friday night. Jazmine Wilkinson tallied two goals and an assist for the Aggies while Grace Ivey and Taylor Jernigan each tacked on a goal. Sydney Becerra leads the Aggies with 14 points this season from five goals and four assists. Three keepers have seen action thus far, but Sydney Fuller has started in nine matches and collected 27 saves.

Thursday’s meeting will be the 16th of its kind in a series that the Aggies lead 10-5 all-time. The first clash between the programs was in 1990 when the Commodores took a 3-0 victory. Last year, Vandy shutout Texas A&M 6-0 in Music City when Deresky notched two goals. Vanderbilt last visited College Station in 2021 when Texas A&M walked away with a 2-1 advantage.
