LOS ANGELES – After leading the No. 19 USC women’s soccer team to a 2-0 win over Oregon on Saturday, the Trojans’ Maile Hayes was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Hayes, who was honored during USC’s pregame Senior Day ceremony, scored both goals in the win for her first brace of the season. She is the first USC player to pick up a Big Ten weekly award this season.

The senior forward transferred from Texas A&M in the offseason and has made an immediate impact for USC, leading the team in goals with six and total points with 13. Hayes has started 11 of USC’s 12 games, leading the team in shots (25) and shots on goal (15) as well. Three of her six goals have been game-winners.
